Chat with the AI Coach
The AI Coach is a chat inside FitKeep where you can ask questions about your own training: “How did my training go this week?”, “Am I getting fitter than last year?”, or “Plan my next 4 weeks toward my goals”. It looks up your activities, best efforts, and goals to answer, and links back to the ones it mentions.
Getting access
The coach is an early-stage upgrade, switched on one account at a time. If you’d like to try it, email hello@fitkeep.cloud and ask. We’re opening it up gradually, so we may not be able to say yes to every request yet.
If the coach isn’t on for your account, there is no Coach link in the navigation. Opening the coach page directly shows a short explanation with an Ask for access button, which starts an email to us.
Want to use AI with your FitKeep data in the meantime? Any account can connect its own AI assistant, such as Claude, over MCP. See Connect an AI Assistant with MCP.
Start a conversation
- Select Coach in the navigation
- Type a question, or pick one of the suggested questions
- While the coach works, you’ll see what it’s looking up, for example “Looking through your activities” or “Comparing your training over time”
Each conversation is saved, so you can come back to it later from the list of conversations.
What the coach can look up
- Your activities, filtered by type and date
- The full detail of a single activity, including laps, pauses, and how it ranks against your other activities of the same type
- Your best efforts at each standard distance
- Your totals for the last 7 days, the 7 days before that, the last 30 days, and all time
- Your training week by week or month by month, for comparisons such as “this month vs last month”
- Your active goals and how far along you are
The coach only reads your own data. It never sees other users’ activities.
Let the coach draft a goal
Ask the coach to create a goal, change one, or archive one, and it drafts the change as a card in the chat showing the target, the activities that count, and the period. Nothing changes until you select Confirm. Select Cancel to discard it. Once confirmed, the card links to the goal.
See Set Goals and Track Your Progress for how goals work.
Conversation length
Each conversation fits up to 10 questions. The coach shows how many you have left, and when a conversation is full, start a new one. A fresh conversation also tends to give better answers when you change topic.
If you send a lot of messages in a short time, you may be asked to wait a moment before sending more.
Delete conversations
Delete a single conversation from the conversation list, or choose Select to delete several at once. Deleted conversations can’t be recovered.
Your privacy
Coach conversations, including their titles, are encrypted at rest. To write a reply, your message, the earlier messages in that conversation, and the fitness data the coach looked up are sent to Google’s Gemini API. Your raw FIT files and GPS tracks are not. Because your messages are sent as written, leave out anything you wouldn’t want processed by Gemini. The Privacy Policy has the details.
